Our purpose is to work with women, children and their families of the Ngaanyatjarra, Pitjantjatjara and Yankunytjatjara region in central Australia. Our role is to work side by side and help increase their capacity to lead safe and healthy lives with improved life choices.

Walytjapiti means full family, group or gathering of relations. Strength, culture and land are also implicit in the word. The Walytjapiti team deliver trauma informed therapeutic case management with families across eight remote communities in the Northern Territory and APY lands.

Walytjapiti’s vision is for Anangu families to remain healthy and positive about their future by living in strong and independent communities that have increased socio-economic equality, children attend school and adults are meaningfully engaged.

NPYWC are recruiting for two Case Managers which will work in remote communities in the Northern Territory as part of the Walytjapiti team. One position is based in the remote community of Finke, while the other is based in the remote community of Docker River.

If successful, you will work with families and children who are at risk of child protection intervention, working to support and strengthen families in order for children to remain safe, happy and protected in their families and communities.

You will have a background in Social Work, Early Childhood or Community Development and have experience in managing a caseload.

You will receive a comprehensive 3 month orientation program as well as best practice supervision and professional development that includes vicarious trauma, case management and four-wheel drive training. We also provide critical incident debriefing and a range of counselling services to support you.

In addition to this, we offer a generous remuneration package. You will receive an above award salary, additional superannuation, salary packaging benefits, 30 days of annual leave, 15 days of personal leave (to care for you and your family) and a retention bonus. We also provide NPYWC accommodation and use of a company vehicle.
