What you’ll be doing

NPS MedicineWise has established an excellent reputation for our work in programs, products and services to improve the quality use of medicines and medical tests in Australia. This role, internally referred to as Design Lead, works closely with the Design and Innovation Manager, Medical Advisors and others to gather health professional and consumer input to the design of NPS MedicineWise programs, products and new business.

The Design and Innovation team inputs into the early development of many NPS MedicineWise products and services. This includes scoping multi-faceted education and behaviour change programs, facilitating the ongoing development of NPS MedicineWise products and services, and facilitation of new business design.

The role will work in close collaboration with a range of internal teams and various external stakeholders (such as committees) to assist in design of solutions. You will lead and contribute to various aspects of the design process, including (but not limited to) environmental analysis, project management, requirements gathering, facilitation of stakeholder input (internal and external), contract and relationship management.

What you will need

  • Tertiary qualifications in a relevant health discipline such as health promotion, public health or social sciences (or equivalent employment experience).
  • Minimum of five years’ experience in the development and delivery of community or health programs
  • Information seeking and appraisal skills, including well developed information retrieval skills (database and literature searching).
  • Experience in application of quality improvement or knowledge translation principles.
  • Demonstrated ability to design and implement behaviour change programs.
  • Demonstrated understanding and sensitivity to healthcare issues.
  • Experience in working effectively at a state or national level.
  • Sound report writing skills.
  • Superior interpersonal, written and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to work as part of a multi disciplinary team and to be self-directed.
  • Well developed initiative and ability to balance competing priorities.
  • Computer literacy in Microsoft Office and web-based strategies.
  • A safe home office set up.
