Key role responsibilities

The workforce development team at No To Violence are looking to add to our casual pool of amazing trainers delivering high quality family violence training across Australia. You will be delivering non accredited training packages to the human services sector and making a significant difference to the skills and knowledge base for practitioners and workers across Australia.

Our high quality learning programs deliver evidence based knowledge and practical skills to support all sectors who encounter and work with men using family violence. Our learning programs are attuned to participant learning styles with a range of teaching tools embedded in each program to assist a dynamic and interactive process between trainer and participant. All our trainers are trained in the No To Violence training delivery model which engages participants in an integrated learning process that has been successful in providing our participants with an enriching learning experience

Experience in the specialist family violence sector is desirable in this role, in particular experience working with men who use violence against women and children.

At present the majority of our training is delivered online, as such these positions are open to candidates from across Australia. However, in future there may be face to face training opportunities which would require regional and interstate travel.

We require someone with technological capabilities, with experience in delivering training online, in particular with utilising Zoom functionality such as chat and breakout functions.

Mandatory Requirements

  • Certificate IV in Training and Assessment or higher qualification in vocational education and training (Or working towards or equivalency in professional experience) is highly desirable.
  • At least one (1) year demonstrated experience in the design and development of training and professional development programs.
  • Knowledge of evidence-based practice as it relates to both prevention and response to family violence.
  • Excellent verbal and interpersonal skills, including presentation, training and group facilitation skills.
  • Ability to utilise Zoom functionality (chat and breakout functions)
