No to Violence operates the national Men’s Referral Service, the national Brief Intervention Services and the Victorian based Perpetrator Accommodation Support Service, free, confidential counselling, referral and support services.

About the role

The Statewide Coordinator provides coordination for the Specialist Family Violence Advisor (SFVA) Capacity Building Program in Mental Health and Alcohol and Other Drug (AOD) Services. The role also supports the Specialist Family Violence Advisors (SFVAs) with advice and coaching, engaging with key stakeholders to share program learnings, including identified gaps and barriers, and collaboratively developing solutions and resources to support family violence mental health and AOD reform work.

Further responsibilities also include:

  • Facilitating a 6 weekly Community of Practice, creating opportunities for novice and SFVAs to collaborate through special interest groups and induction programs
  • Review the MARAM adult perpetrator-focused practice guides as a group in the Community of Practice (CoP)
  • Raise themes, issues and risks identified in the CoP with government and peak bodies
  • Seeking opportunities to connect and collaborate across NTV and to maintain strong relationships with government and peak bodies

To be successful in the role, you will have:

  • Qualifications in social work, psychology, or other relevant discipline
  • Strong knowledge of the AOD, mental health, and family violence sectors
  • Comprehensive understanding of the dynamics and impacts of family violence and intervention and/or prevention initiatives
  • Experience in providing clinical and peer supervision to practitioners working in the specialist family violence sector
  • Experience in providing secondary consultations in the scope of mental health, AOD and family violence

This role is fixed term until the 30th of June 2024.
