No to Violence is Australia’s largest peak body for services and individuals that work with men who use family violence. No to Violence operates the national Men’s Referral Service, the national Brief Intervention Services and the Victorian based Perpetrator Accommodation Support Service, free, confidential counselling, referral and support services.

About the role

The Sector Development Advisor is responsible for coordinating and advising the men's family violence sector on the Industry Plan and the updated Rolling Action Plan (2020-2023). This position will coordinate a range of engagement, support, and capacity building activities with the family violence sector.

The role will:

  • Build capability through oversight of family violence MARAM reform initiatives
  • Contribute to the Family Violence capability frameworks and training resources
  • Provide expert advice in internal and external meetings, consultations, and forums
  • Establish opportunities and develop a structure to build workforce capability
  • Provide leadership to the Sector Development Team

To be successful in the role, you will have:

  • Qualifications in Social Work, Social Science, or relevant discipline
  • Solid knowledge of the Victorian family violence and broader services sector
  • Comprehensive knowledge of the Victorian Royal Commission findings and the impact on the family violence sector
  • Well-developed stakeholder engagement and capacity building skills
  • Experience in leading a small team
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
