No to Violence is Australia’s largest peak body for services and individuals that work with men who use family violence. No to Violence operates the national Men’s Referral Service, the national Brief Intervention Services and the Victorian-based Perpetrator Accommodation Support Service. We are looking for a number of Men’s Family Violence Counsellors who will work in accordance with NTV principles and practices to join our Men’s Referral Service (MRS) team.
Our Men’s Family Violence Counsellors engage with clients (primarily male perpetrators of family violence, however sometimes this may be their family members or third parties) across Australia, to provide:
We are looking for Counsellors who have sector experience and an understanding of legislation, risk management and reforms. Counsellors should have experience in conducting risk assessments in accordance with organisational protocols, procedures and clinical governance frameworks.
NTV provides regular supervision including clinical and external supervision, to ensure our Counsellors are well supported. We actively promote the professional development of our employees.
The Men’s Family Violence Counsellors role operates on a rotating roster, and an on call after hours service, spanning 7 days per week. All counsellors will be required to work across the morning, day, afternoon and evening aspects of the roster.
