No to Violence is Australia’s largest peak body for services and individuals that work with men who use family violence. No to Violence operates the national Men’s Referral Service, the national Brief Intervention Services and the Victorian based Perpetrator Accommodation Support Service, free, confidential counselling, referral and support services.

About the role

Reporting to the Manager, Clinical Governance, the practice lead position will collaborate with colleagues and practitioners within NTV to design strategies to strengthen the alignment of practice with the MARAM framework, with a strong emphasis on Responsibility 8 of the

framework. The role will:

  • Embed the MARAM framework and practice guidance with a priority focus on MARAM Responsibility 8 Comprehensive Risk Management and Safety Planning when working with adults using family violence
  • Deliver process improvements to strengthen integrated risk assessment and integrated risk management across NTV and with key partners
  • Align all role deliverables in collaboration with other clinical team members, including the Family Violence Clinical Lead, to ensure a coordinated approach to training and resource development.
  • Provide up to date training in current best practice safety and risk management practices in line with legislation requirements to ensure MRS is working within compliance frameworks.
  • Provide advice and support to MRS complex case management discussions.

To be successful, you will have:

  • A social work degree or qualification in a related field or relevant experience, in line with the mandatory minimum qualification requirements for specialist family violence practitioners.
  • Working understanding of the MARAM Framework in the context of specialist family violence supports and interventions.
  • Specialist knowledge and skills and prior experience providing male family violence services, including intake and risk assessment.
  • A demonstrated understanding of the social and gendered context of family violence and the impact of violence on women and children.
