No to Violence is Australia’s largest peak body for services and individuals that work with men who use family violence. No to Violence operates the national Men’s Referral Service, the national Brief Intervention Services and the Victorian based Perpetrator Accommodation Support Service, free, confidential counselling, referral and support services.

About the role

We are looking for a skilled Junior Accountant to provide high-quality financial support to a growing organisation. The main responsibilities range from maintaining and updating the General Ledger, assisting with stakeholder queries, month end reconciliations and preparation of a trial balance and supporting the Payroll Officer in processing pays when required will form part of the role. Other responsibilities include involvement in the annual external audit and grant funding acquittal queries.

To be successful in the role, you will have:

  • Degree in an Accounting discipline with 3 years bookkeeping experience
  • Studying towards a CPA or other professional accounting qualification
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and experience with Accounting Software
  • Experience preparing financial presentations/reports
  • Understanding of bookkeeping best practice and GST law
  • Advanced computer skills for analytics
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to relate

This role is full time, ongoing with working conditions agreed with the Finance Manager upon appointment.
