For 25 years, NTV has been working with men who use family violence. We specialise in effective evidence-based engagement of men. Our expertise in challenging their beliefs, attitudes, behaviour and choices has enabled us to develop standards, programs, practices and training and lead policy development that have influenced national developments. Our work takes courage and commitment, and it takes courage from our community to recognise that working with the men who use family violence is a critical step in ending the harm their behaviour causes.
NTV is the largest peak body for organisations and individuals working directly with men to end family violence in Australia. We provide telephone counselling, information and referrals every day for men in Victoria, New South Wales and Tasmania. As a pro-feminist organisation, at the centre of our work is the safety of women and children. We believe that by ending men’s violence, families can lead better lives.
The Head of Services will lead and manage the strategic direction of direct service delivery within the Men’s Referral Service (MRS) including Family Advocacy and Support Services (FASS), Neighbourhood Justice Centre (NJC), Perpetrator Accommodation Support Service (PASS) and the Brief Intervention Service (BIS) together with police referral programs in NSW, Victoria and Tasmania. The role carries responsibility for extending, building, and improving direct service delivery to clients.
The role is also responsible for maintaining and growing strategic relationships with all internal and external stakeholders including clients, partners and members to ensure NTV’s service delivery model remains current and acts as an exemplar for the sector in delivery of such services. They will have a critical role in growth of these services, the retention of contracts and securing additional fee for service/funded opportunities.
The Head of Services will report directly to the CEO and be part of the Senior Leadership Team. They will lead and manage the Direct Services teams to cement and grow NTVs influence as a national body. The role plays a critical part in ensuring client contracts are managed and adhered to as well as developing and growing the service delivery model to attract potential new clients to NTV for service delivery. The role is responsible for contributing to NTV’s strategic objectives and goals related to service delivery, influence and is the ‘face’ of NTV ‘s direct engagement with men who use violence.
