Case Worker

North West Youth Accommodation Service

North West Youth Accommodation Service (NWYAS) is seeking a suitably qualified case worker to join our team. This is a rare and unique opportunity to contribute your skills in a small-but-mighty organisation committed to supporting the housing and human rights of young people and young families. In a transitional housing setting, as a NWYAS case work professional you will work closely with NWYAS tenants and outreach clients to identify and achieve their personal goals. NWYAS prides itself on our holistic approach to housing support for vulnerable youth and case workers bring a strong commitment to a trauma informed, person centered approach underpinned by an understanding of the systemic barriers faced by homeless youth.

NWYAS is a continual learning environment where contemporary practice and continual improvement is actively sought. Our practice framework is defined by relationship-based practice, social justice, compassion and hope. Case workers are supported by a close-knit team, internal and external supervision and regular professional development. NWYAS acknowledges the highly complex nature of our work and encourages an environment of psychological safety, worker flexibility and open collaboration.

This permanent part-time role will be an initial three days per week, Monday to Wednesday, 8:30am to 5pm. Case workers are appointed under SCHADS Award Crisis Accommodation level 3.1 ($44.92/hr).

Benefits includes flexibility, salary sacrifice, external supervision and pro-active professional development.
