The successful candidate will support the commissioning of a range of Alcohol and Other Drug (AOD) programs across north and west Melbourne. This role will work across teams within the Service Development and Reform Directorate, contributing to the planning and implementation of activities across all aspects of the commissioning cycle. A focus and commitment to person-centred and integrated models of care that support improved experience and outcomes, consistent with NWMPHN's strategic objectives is key.

A typical week may include:

  • Commissioning sustainable services that are coordinated, accessible, person-centred and evidence based
  • Implement and utilise project management approaches to ensure the timely and effective delivery of work plans and priorities, including providing regular status and risk updates to management
  • Ensure data collection and reporting, including monitoring the quality of relevant data sets, to drive assurance and insight
  • Provide information and advice to stakeholders regarding AOD, mental health, primary care and allied health services within our catchment area

We are looking for someone who has:

  • Tertiary qualifications in social work, community development, public health, or a relevant discipline and/or extensive relevant experience and knowledge within the AOD, mental health or allied health services system
  • Demonstrated knowledge, understanding and or direct experience in service systems that support people experiencing concerns related to AOD misuse, mental health concerns or health related issues
  • High-level project planning, administrative and problem-solving skills
