Lead - Victorian HIV and Hepatitis Integrated Training and Learning

The Lead is responsible for the successful delivery of the Victorian HIV and Hepatitis Integrated Training and Learning (VHHITAL) program. In collaboration with VHHITAL Consortium partner agencies, this position is responsible for setting the strategic direction of the program and leading the program team to deliver BBV and STI training and education for Victorian primary health professionals. The role will shape the development of continuing professional development to better meet the needs of primary health care providers across Victoria through interactive modes of training including face to face, online and hybrid modalities, facilitated communities of practice and group mentoring, and feature lived experience perspectives.

A typical week for the Lead may include:

  • Assigning responsibilities from VHHITAL work plans within the VHHITAL team, overseeing tasks assigned to staff members and their implementation of budgets.
  • Delivering on VHHITAL Program outputs and outcomes, as contracted by the Department of Health
  • Coordinating the workforce training and certification program and stakeholder engagement strategy with respect to hepatitis B, hepatitis C, HIV, and sexual health
  • Contributing to formal partnership agreements between key stakeholders and partners.
  • Developing systems for ongoing inter-agency communication and reporting, including to the Victorian PHN Alliance.

We are looking for someone who has:

  • Experience in the successful management of projects, budgets, and financial reporting.
  • Experience in managing the development, delivery, and evaluation of education programs for people working in a professional service area including the ability to mentor and support outstanding subject matter experts to be effective educators.
  • Ability to establish and maintain stakeholder relationships including an affirming approach to cultural, sexual and gender diversity and a strategic approach to reduce stigma and discrimination faced by people living with HIV, HBV or in sex work.
  • Experience in managing people, including performance management and professional development.
  • Experience in reporting on contracts to funding providers.
  • Understanding of government funding processes, monitoring and evaluation and outcomes-based management.
