The Northern Land Council (NLC) provides a family-friendly and flexible team environment with attractive remuneration packages, five weeks annual leave, district allowance, super, salary sacrifice, airfares and other entitlements.
Working within a small team to provide research assistance in the production of documents required for Land Claims, Native Title and anthropological processes. Although primarily a Darwin Head Office based role, some regional and remote travel may be required from time to time.
Demonstrated experience in providing general administrative support, including accurately and efficiently in order to satisfy conflicting priorities and deadlines.
As directed provide research assistance including proof reading & editing documentation, data-entry, LIR maintenance, compiling research bibliographies and summarising research to ensure correct Anthropological advice is provided.
Significant demonstrated knowledge, understanding and respect of Indigenous Australian culture, customs and society and the ability to gain and maintain credibility with Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander people, communities and organisations is essential.
