Working under the supervision of NCLC’s Partnerships & Community Development Manager and with the family violence project teams, this position will be responsible for providing community engagement, community legal education and client support for two recently funded family violence projects: NCLC’s Safe Landing Project, which responds to the migration and family violence related legal and support needs of women residing on temporary visas in Australia, and the North-West Enhanced Pathways Project, which will implement a partnership model with maternal child health services across our catchments, with a particular focus upon the Mitchell region.
This is a part time, 2 day per week position.
You have qualifications in teaching, social sciences, community work, social work or other relevant qualifications with a demonstrated knowledge of, and sensitivity to, victims/survivors of family violence and the family violence sector and a commitment to trauma-informed practice principles and family strengthening and empowerment models of practice.
