We offer wide ranging, locally delivered community healthcare services in the North Eastern suburbs of Melbourne, with major hubs in Box Hill and Eltham.

The Role

Reporting to the General Manager People Learning and Culture, the People Learning and Culture Officer is responsible for performing People & Culture functions of the organisation whilst working in a way that reflects the values of the organisation and contributes to the achievement of the CH strategic plan.

Responsibilities will include:

  • HR/recruitment administration and coordination including advertising, shortlisting, preparation of onboarding paperwork, orientation manuals, filing, assistance with preparation of employment contracts, reporting and associated administration
  • Support Managers in onboarding new staff ensuring full compliance with screening procedures and complete induction processes
  • Providing support to the GM and other team members in relation to compliance, procedure, process and HR strategy initiatives
  • Responding to HR Inbox queries
  • Volunteer coordination including maintaining volunteer processes, ensuring compliance and partnering with managers on all facets of the volunteer recruitment process
  • Assistance with other People Learning and Culture duties as required

Skills and experience required:

  • Diploma or degree qualifications in HR, Business or equivalent relevant to the job role (essential)
  • Previous experience in all facets of employee recruitment (internal recruitment preferred) including drafting of ads and posting (essential)
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively as part of a small team as well as autonomously
  • Solid HR experience in a relevant role
  • Experience in the health preferred as is some knowledge of Enterprise Agreements
  • Experience working with eMercury, Chris21 and Better Impact would be advantageous
