About Ngwala :

Ngwala Willumbong Aboriginal Corporation is an Aboriginal Community Controlled Organisation that is dedicated to delivering quality specialist Alcohol and Drug Treatment, Housing and Homeless and other services to meet the needs of Aboriginal people and their families. These services operate in greater metropolitan Melbourne and Mooroopna in rural Victoria.

About the job :

This is a new role created to develop and implement a training development plan to build and maintain staff capacity to deliver high level services to our clients. You will be undertaking a training needs analysis across the business, and mapping training against statutory and regulatory requirements. You will then coordinate the delivery of this training whilst maintaining appropriate records.

About you:

To be successful in this role, you will be able to demonstrate the following:

  • An understanding, awareness and sensitive to Aboriginal culture
  • A Cert IV in Training and Assessment
  • Experienced conducting training needs analysis and developing training plans
  • Ability to work independently, demonstrating initiative and resourcefulness
  • Previous experience or knowledge working within the ADO or community, housing sector will be highly regarded.
  • Excellent administrative skills – course administration, logistics and project management
  • Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander people STRONGLY encouraged to
