The Queensland Youth Cancer Service (QYCS) is a state-wide service providing expert care and support to young people with cancer. The service is designed specifically for the 15-25 year age group.
QYCS offers age-appropriate medical, nursing and psychosocial treatment and care, delivered by multidisciplinary teams of doctors, nurses, psychologists, social workers and other allied health practitioners, across five major hospital treatment sites in Queensland.
In consultation with the QYCS Executive Committee, you will provide strategic oversight and stakeholder engagement to facilitate a state-wide alignment and approach to service delivery for all Queensland adolescent and young adult cancer patients.
You will coordinate QYCS strategies across the partner hospitals and sites, driving new initiatives to achieve best practice treatment and support, consistency in approach, and pathways including for fertility preservation, clinical trials, data collection and professional education.
You’ll also be the primary liaison for all QYCS performance reporting and contract management.
You have a health service delivery management background including in the support and monitoring of funded initiatives, programs or services.
You’re driven by a leadership style that maintains professional internal and external boundaries and ensures a culture of performance, collaboration and respect.
You create lasting stakeholder relationships, drawing on your strong listening and questioning skills and ability to bring together multiple stakeholders in support of common goals.
