The Role

Reporting to the Communications Manager in this newly scoped role, you will lead a major funding proposal for The Front Project’s 3-5 year strategic plan. To do this, you will be responsible for two key deliverables:

  1. Ensuring the timely delivery of a high quality submission to one of the largest philanthropic bodies in Australia
  2. Communicating a new strategic plan that is being co-developed with external input and will be finalised during the contract period.

Key aspects of the role include:

  • Working with the strategy consultancy to design & implement the process behind the plan
  • Coordinating, writing and compiling strategy papers for the team and Board members
  • Designing and facilitating team engagement initiatives
  • Project managing the funding renewal process, collaborating with the funding body
  • Maintaining due diligence and providing regular project reporting
  • Ensuring high quality submissions are prepared collaboratively to meet deadlines

Skills Required

You have a track record in effective research, writing and communications in the preparation of submissions for tenders, bids and/or grants, ideally for the not-for-profit or government sector. Your outstanding communication skills (written and verbal) will ensure you can effectively manage a diverse range of stakeholders and submit high quality proposals.

Importantly, you can demonstrate:

  • Excellent technical writing, editing and formatting skills
  • Ability to think creatively and strategically
  • Proven success to lead, negotiate and successfully deliver on complex projects
  • Experience delivering quality strategy papers for the Board and funding bodies
  • A consistent focus on quality and detail
  • Ideally you will show a genuine interest and understanding towards the Early Childhood Education sector
