The Role

Working as an integral part of Northcott’s management team, this role leads internal and external communications and content creation across the organisation. Specifically you will:

  • Build relationships with and facilitate communication across all business functions
  • Develop and implement the communications strategy in line with the strategic plan
  • Manage both traditional and emerging communication channels across all forms of media
  • Lead and mentor a team of 8, encouraging personal and professional development
  • Generate ideas through print, web, social and broadcast mediums

Skills Required

You are an accomplished communications professional with a broad skill set and an ability to combine strategic, creative and analytical thinking with a supportive management style. You can also demonstrate:

  • Outstanding interpersonal communication to influence and manage stakeholders within large, complex organisations
  • Identifying changing needs of a business and adjusting communication strategies in response
  • Understanding and working closely with the marketing, fundraising, project office, business development and sales teams
  • A track record and passion for delivering high quality work in the health or disability sector
  • Tertiary qualifications in communications or similar degree
