The Organisation

Be an integral part of a rich, 60-year history of tackling the injustice of global poverty. Transform Aid International, and their fully owned subsidiary Baptist World Aid, are international development organisations creating impact and change in 18 countries across the world.

Together, they connect people, churches, businesses and governments with the injustice of poverty and invite them to become part of the solution through faithful advocacy and generous giving. They foster relationships with supporters to help grow their reach and impact.

They partner with like-minded organisations to implement community development and disaster projects that empower communities to lift themselves out of poverty. Last year, their work directly benefited over 330,000 people.

The Role

Reporting directly to the Advocacy Director, you will be responsible for enabling supporters and networks to engage in current campaigns and advocacy activities, working with alliances and raising awareness for social justice issues.

Specifically you will:

• Manage the production of research, policy and thought leadership materials
• Undertake research and campaigning activities to educate and drive change via church based advocates
• Project manage research and policy plans, including timelines and resource planning
• Develop and communicate narrative to confidently mobilise and engage communities

Skills and Attributes

You have experience from international development or social justice campaigns and enjoy undertaking research to motivate and build engagement across various stakeholders.

• Knowledge of current international social justice and development issues
• Strong writing skills, with the ability to clearly communicate and present research findings
• High level of strategic planning skills to identify and critically evaluate effective advocacy tactics
• Be an authentic committed Christian
