The Organisation

Blue Knot Foundation’s core mission is to empower the recovery of adults with experiences of complex trauma (repeated violence, abuse and neglect). They offer a range of important services including phone and online counselling: Blue Knot Helpline and Redress Support Service and National Counselling and Referral Service - Disability; educational workshops, professional development training, supervision, consultancy and other services.

The Administration Officer plays an important role in helping raise awareness of Blue Knot the organisation, and its purpose and engagement with Blue Knot’s services across a wide cross-section of the community.

The Role

Reporting to the HR and Governance Coordinator, you will be the first point of contact for the organisation via a virtual reception, dealing with general enquiries and assisting volunteers and members. Working closely with the broader teams too, you will be responsible for:

  • Processing merchandise orders and donations, both physical and online
  • Provide secretariat support to the President and Deputy CEO, formatting reports and proposals, diary and travel management
  • Undertake finance tasks including issuing and following up invoices and monitoring cheques
  • Work alongside the HR and Marketing teams with on boarding, welcome packs, off boarding, compliance, training requests and some events
  • Responsible for facilities and overall office management, liaising with suppliers and contractors

Skills Required

You have a commitment to health and the non-profit sector and enjoy a role where variety is welcomed, and will hold:

  • Experience in providing excellent customer service and high level administrative support
  • Proven ability to work unsupervised and independently
  • Able to deal with sensitive issues, maintaining confidentiality and privacy
  • Working knowledge of Salesforce, Zoom, MS Office and Teams
  • A current National Police Check
