Ngadju Native Title Aboriginal Corporation RNTBC (NNTAC) is the Prescribed Body Corporate that holds the native title rights and interests on trust for the Ngadju People. The Ngadju People’s native title rights and interests were recognised by the Federal Court of Australia in 2014 and 2017 (Ngadju Determination).

As part of Ngadju Determination, the Federal Court of Australia recognised the Ngadju People’s common law native title right to maintain and protect sites and places and areas of importance on Ngadju Country.

To assist Ngadju in the effective management and protection of these native title rights, NNTAC is seeking to expand their Register of Consultants and invites expressions of interest (EOI) from suitably qualified Anthropologists and Archaeologists who have relevant experience working with Native Title Holders in the conduct of cultural mapping or heritage surveys.

Eligibility and Selection

NNTAC is seeking EOI’s from professionals with Honours or Postgraduate qualifications in Archaeology and/or Anthropology or other relevant professionals who have extensive experience working with Native Title Holders in relation to the recognition or protection of their native title rights and interests, including their cultural and heritage values.

EOI’s should address the following:

• Relevant professional qualifications (as relevant).
• Demonstrated experience working with Native Title Holders.
• Demonstrated ability to consult effectively with other key stakeholders.
• Understanding of the Native Title and/or Aboriginal heritage protection regimes and environments in Western Australia.
• Contact details of up to 3 relevant referees.
• A schedule of professional fees.
