Let's talk about us

Nexus Primary Health supports people to fully participate within their community through the provision of appropriate wide-ranging support services throughout their life span. With a 40-year history, we are the "go to" organisation for primary health information and person-centred services in the outer and rural north of Melbourne.

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Counselling Team Leader to lead our established Counselling Team.

Let's talk about the role

The Counselling Team Leader provides support and direction to the team, ensuring the counselling service is integrated across the whole of Nexus.

The Team Leader also collaborates with counselling and other staff to develop a suite of counselling responses that ensure that clients and our communities have the best possible access to mental health support services.

Here is an opportunity to channel your positive approach and strength to members of the community who require our professional support and guidance. Each day you spend with us will demonstrate your commitment to our clients.

And best of all, you'll be making a difference, every single day, to clients who need a helping hand.

Let's talk about you

You have experience in the public health or community health sectors and are comfortable in managing diverse small teams.

You have effective time management skills, managing competing priorities and have the capacity and ability to work collaboratively to find effective solutions.

You are a highly accountable values-based professional focused on ensuring service delivery is aligned with positive client recovery outcomes to individual clients and their families who have complex support needs.

You'll draw upon your tertiary qualifications and several years of clinical experience in psychology, social work or similar to give our clients the high quality of care they deserve.

The benefits on offer

We provide a supportive, friendly workplace with staff who are committed and passionate about the Nexus Values. We offer professional development opportunities, a 19-day 4-week work cycle (or alternatively a 4-day a week option), generous salary packaging, a friendly team environment and competitive salaries.
