Nexus Primary Health supports people to fully participate within their community through the provision of appropriate wide-ranging support services throughout their life span. With a 40-year history, we are the "go to" organisation for primary health information and person-centred services in the outer and rural north of Melbourne.
We are currently recruiting an Alcohol & Other Drugs Worker to join our AOD Team.
The AOD Worker delivers effective and appropriate assessment, counselling, treatment, care-coordination, referral and support services to those seeking support for AOD issues.
Here is an opportunity to channel your positive approach and strength to members of the community who are working through some of their biggest challenges. Each day you spend with us will demonstrate your commitment to supporting clients who require extra levels of support to manage and address sometimes complex issues. In this role, you will be making a difference, every single day, to members of the community going through some challenging times.
You are an experienced Alcohol and Other Drugs worker with a well-developed knowledge base of the health and welfare sectors relevant to the AOD target groups and an ability to self-manage a complex workload. You have sound experience working in an AOD case management / treatment / care coordination role, focused on therapeutic counselling to clients and their families. You'll draw upon your tertiary qualifications (minimum Cert IV Community Services AOD) to give our clients the high quality of care they deserve.
We provide a supportive, friendly workplace with staff who are committed and passionate about the Nexus Values. We offer professional development opportunities, generous salary packaging, a friendly team environment and competitive salaries.
We want to get to know you better, so please include in your application a covering letter addressing the Key Selection Criteria contained within the Position Description.
Enquiries can be made to Simon Gibbs on 1300 773 352.
