Public Relations Manager (Voluntary) - Remote / Work from Home

Our new PR Manager will be responsible for bringing patient stories and developing projects to the forefront of media outlets around Australia. Using your knowledge we need your strategic approach to create a higher awareness of NeuroEndocrine Cancer.

Through out the year we will also have many projects that will benefit from an experienced Public Relations manager.

Our vision is to champion early diagnosis and find a cure for NeuroEndocrine Cancer. Nearly 5,000 patients are diagnosed annually and many Australians' are oblivious to this disease prior to diagnosis. We need YOU to assist in raising awareness.

If you have experience in PR we would love to hear from you. Medical or Non-Profit experience would be even better, but not essential.

Reporting the CEO, the key responsibilities include:

  • Develop and implement an effective Public Relations strategy in order to raise awareness of NeuroEndocrine Cancer.
  • Build strong relationships with key stakeholders and supporters.

What skills are we looking for?

This is a relationship role with a collaborative approach, collaborating with our community, your teammates, our volunteers and your media partners This role will draw on your expertise in: 

  • Highly developed oral, written and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to pick up the phone and reach out to Media outlets, government agencies and patients. 
  • Ability to communicate and function comfortably, competently, effectively and efficiently with people from all walks of life. 
  • Sound administrative and organisational skills, with strong attention to detail.
  • Project Management, once the strategy is developed you’ll be implementing from end to end, including writing of Media Releases, editing patient stories, and simplifying latest research for the general public.
