Court Network is a frontline community organisation that supports people to access the court system. Our role is to empower and increase the confidence of court users to manage the requirements of the courts.

The service is delivered by highly trained volunteers (Networkers) across Victoria and Queensland who provide support on a non-judgemental and confidential basis.

Program Manager - Metro South East (Full time)

This role is primarily responsible for leading service operations and to be responsible for a team of staff and their Volunteer Teams in Victorian Courts and communities. This includes direct responsibility for managing Network teams and services in courts.

The Program Manager will coordinate Court Network programs and services within designated courts in metropolitan Melbourne, managing and developing the volunteer workforce and maintaining positive working relationships between the courts, volunteer teams, Court Network head office, local court staff and support services.

The position is classified under the Social, Community, Home Care and Disability Services Industry Award 2010. Starting salary is based at Level 6.

This is a permanent position subject to ongoing funding.

KEY SELECTION CRITERIA

  • A commitment to social justice and an understanding of the systemic barriers in place for those who are marginalised and vulnerable, including members of diverse groups within the community.
  • Demonstrated understanding and experience in staff management and team leadership skills, including best practice in volunteer management.
  • Demonstrated and significant experience in program and project management.
  • The ability to respond appropriately to a wide range of people, some of whom may be in crisis.
  • An understanding of Family Violence, the Victorian Government’s family violence reform agenda and how they relate to delivery of Court Network services in Court.
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications e.g. social work, criminology, social science, community development, or similar degree. Relevant experience in an associated field.
  • Highly developed communication and interpersonal skills including conflict resolution, stakeholder engagement and the production of quality program documentation.
  • Highly developed organisational skills and the ability to prioritise workload and multi-task, including the ability to meet deadlines and work well under pressure.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and show initiative.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite including Outlook, Word, PowerPoint and Excel.
  • Satisfactory National Police Check and Working with Children Check
  • Proof of the right to work in Australia (if relevant)
