About the Role:

The PSW will have a good understanding of the processes of psychological recovery and be confident to articulate this to consumers, service partners and other stakeholders. They will also be supported through professional development to gain a deeper understanding of recovery frameworks as well as core training relevant to their role, program and Neami’s model of service.

  • Part Time
  • Maximum Term Contract until 30 June 2022
  • CSD Level 2 from $64,363 - $69,031 per annum (pro rata) + super + salary packaging
  • Based in Hurstville

Core duties

  • Facilitate Flourish groups: which is a peer facilitated recovery-based self-development program (training to be provided)
  • Have a client case load and provide person centred support to meet the needs of clients with the framework of the CoS program requirements

You will need:

  • Certificate IV in Mental Health or equivalent
  • Lived experience of mental illness – experience of recovery and willingness to communicate experience with clients of the CoS program
  • Experience of the public or private mental health system
  • Demonstrated experience in facilitating groups, including the ability to prioritise different needs within a group
  • Previous experience in Mental Health

Mandatory requirements:

  • Current Working with Children Check
  • Australian Working Rights
  • Drivers licence
  • Police check - disclosable outcomes considered
  • Neami National will require, as part of our condition of employment, that all candidates applying for any position must be fully vaccinated for COVID-19 (or have received one dose of an approved COVID-19 vaccine and have a scheduled appointment to receive their second dose.)
  • Candidates will be required to provide appropriate evidence of COVID-19 vaccination to Neami National.
