  • Classification: Consumer Service Delivery Level 2 with a salary range of $67,322- $72,203 per annum + Superannuation

Overview of the positions:

Peer Support Worker:

Peer Support Workers (PSW) are people who have a lived experience of mental illness who occupy meaningful roles within the mental health sector and are very strong role models to consumers. As a Peer Support Worker you will be responsible in supporting and conducting 1:1 consumer supports to work towards the consumers identified recovery needs, whilst drawing on your lived experience and the Collaborative Relational Practice approach.

Peer Support Workers are integral members of the team and draw on their lived experience of recovery from mental health issues, to instil confidence and hope in others about the journey of recovery. You will work closely with clinical case managers and other community partner organisations in order to deliver the best possible comprehensive service to consumers. Peer support workers at Neami National function within a collaborative team approach and are supported by regular opportunities to reflect upon their practice and access comprehensive training and ongoing development.

Community Rehabilitation Support Worker:

Community Rehabilitation and Support Worker (CRSW) provide a range of support to consumers in line with the Collaborative Relational Practice, supporting consumers to engage in their own personal and unique recovery journey and develop new skills, social connections and improve their wellbeing by engaging them as fellow persons. As a CRSW you are responsible in supporting and conducting 1:1 consumer supports to work towards the consumers identified recovery needs, whilst using a trauma informed and client centred approach.

You will work closely with clinical case managers and other community partner organisations in order to deliver the best possible comprehensive service to consumers. Community Rehabilitation and Support Workers at Neami National function within a collaborative team approach and are supported by regular opportunities to reflect upon their practice and access comprehensive training and ongoing development.

Mandatory role requirements:

  • Neami National will require, as part of our condition of employment, that all candidates applying for any position must be fully vaccinated for COVID-19 (have received three doses), (or have received two doses of an approved COVID-19 vaccine and have a scheduled appointment to receive their third dose.)
  • Candidates will be required to provide appropriate evidence of COVID-19 vaccination to Neami National.
  • National Criminal History Check (Police check) – disclosable outcomes considered
  • Current Working with Children check prior to commencement
  • Current Drivers licence
  • Australian Working Rights
