National Centre of Indigenous Excellence Ltd (NCIE) is a not-for-profit social enterprise. We build capabilities and create opportunities for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples by delivering life-changing programs from our heritage-listed facilities in Redfern.

NCIE is looking for a Communications Coordinator to work within our Media, Marketing and Communications team.

The Communications Coordinator is responsible for producing content (blog posts, images, videos) for NCIE’s external and internal digital media channels. The successful candidate will have strong fundamental communications skills in writing, interviewing, photography and production, as well as a passion for sharing the story of a dynamic First Nations organisation.

Reporting to the Media, Marketing and Communications Manager, key objectives and accountabilities will include:

  • Working collaboratively with the Media, Marketing and Communications team to coordinate NCIE’s online presence.
  • Manage digital communications calendar for effective and timely output.
  • Produce daily and/or as needed content on ncie.org.au, social media channels and EDMs, as well as internal communications. This content will be in response to the needs of NCIE and its enterprises and programs, and will include stories, posts, video, image and other digital content and collateral.
  • Monitor analytics and create reports detailing the successes of and opportunities for NCIE’s communications campaigns and strategies.
  • Timely and effective updating of ncie.org.au.
