Nairm Marr Djambana is looking for an energetic, creative and hardworking part-time chef to manage and grow our not-for-profit catering business in Frankston.
Nairm Marr Djambana is a not-for-profit Aboriginal Gathering Place that provides services to the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander community in Frankston. We are a small, dedicated and fun team that are committed to the health, wellbeing and happiness of the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander community.
We are looking for a qualified chef to manage our catering business run out of our Aboriginal Gathering Place in Frankston. The role includes planning menus, preparing orders, catering for our programs, events and weekly community lunch and supervising kitchen staff and volunteers.
The unique opportunity also exists to build our social enterprise by creating seasonal Indigenous menus, sourcing Indigenous produce, developing relationships with Indigenous producers and helping to build hospitality skills and employment opportunities for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people.
We not only want to provide a high-quality catering service but also want to share Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander culture through Indigenous menus and foods.
