Marra Worra Worra Aboriginal Corporation (MWW) is the oldest and largest Aboriginal Resource Agency in the Kimberley region of Western Australia. Our primary aim is to provide support services to existing and emerging groups in the Fitzroy Valley; assisting in the areas of Employment, Housing, School Attendance and Financial services to promote Aboriginal employment, opportunities, well-being and financial growth.

MWW administers the Community Development Program (CDP) for over 800 job seekers throughout 32 remote Aboriginal communities in the Fitzroy Valley. We currently have vacancies for Regional Activity Supervisors.

About the Role

This role is responsible for engaging CDP job seekers in meaningful activities and assisting them to build skills for future employment opportunities, including:

  • Planning activities and projects and ordering appropriate materials.
  • Supervising and monitoring multiple CDP activities across a number of communities in a region.
  • Supervising Community Activity Supervisors.
  • Supporting and motivating job seekers to attend activities, training and appointments.
  • Submitting job seeker attendance records and weekly activity reports.
  • Conducting risk assessments on activities and being responsible for machinery, equipment and other assets.

About you

The successful applicant will be able to demonstrate:

  • Experience supervising and motivating people.
  • Good communication skills and ability to work with diverse individuals.
  • Experience planning and organising projects.
  • Commitment to the organisation’s values and objectives through day-to-day behaviour and interaction with peers, staff and other stakeholders.
  • WWC, police check and experience driving long distances on unsealed roads.
