Midland Women's Health Care Place is a not-for-profit, charitable organisation, providing subsidised, professional, individualised and groups counselling services to women who have experienced or are experiencing perinatal or postnatal depression, family violence trauma, relationship issues, grief and loss. A range of therapeutic health and well-being group activities proved a safe, soft entry point for health promotion, education, skills development, fitness and engagement.

We are currently seeking an experienced Craft Facilitator. You will be responsible for facilitating creative workshops for women from all diversities, including but not limited to, culturally and linguistically diverse, intellectually and/or physically disabled, and non-disabled clientele.

The position is a casual contracted position, for 2x hours every Thursday during school terms.

It is an essential requirement of this role to have empathy, be non-judgemental, engaging, friendly and able to work in a diverse environment with demonstrated experience in a similar role (this may include life experience).

IN ADDITION YOU WILL NEED:

  • Police clearance obtained in last 3 months
  • Working rights within Australia (Citizen, Permanent Resident or Appropriate visa)
  • Working with Children's Check (or ability to obtain one).
  • Proof of COVID-19 Vaccination & Booster as mandated by the WA State Government.
  • Qualifications in craft mediums is highly regarded.
  • Previous facilitator of group activities is highly regarded.
