Expressions of interest are invited from community-minded individuals with management experience to assist in the management of the Stroke a Chord choir.

Established in 2010, the choir gives voice to an extraordinary group of people who have aphasia (loss of speech resultant from a stroke). Information about the choir can be viewed here.

Having recently completed a formal review and subsequent action plan, the choir is keen to connect with individuals experienced in finance, marketing and governance who are well-positioned to lead the choir into its second decade.

Successful applicants for these managerial roles need to be both reliable and personable with a capacity to deliver the dreams articulated in the action plan. Previous experience working with self-help groups could be considered favourably but is not mandatory.

Applicants do not have to be residents of the City of Maroondah. It is anticipated that the management team will meet online at regular intervals and will therefore need to be adept in the use of online management tools as appropriate to designated roles.
