About the role

This role is responsible to support, maintain and monitor Multicap’s Incident Management System (RiskMan) to ensure compliance to NDIS Quality & Safeguards Commission, WorkSafe and Multicap’s reporting requirements.  The Incident Management Officer will enable the Support Services leadership team to identify, report, and implement corrective action plans to ensure customer safeguarding, best practice service-delivery and continuous improvement.

Role requirements may include, but not limited to, the following:

  • Utilise RiskMan Quality and WHS modules for data entry and classification of incidents to ensure compliance activities are achieved within the right timeframes.
  • Triage incidents and complete minor investigations with support from support services team.  
  • Engage with and advise operational managers of process, system and legislative obligations for medium and major investigations.
  • Be responsible for responding to and resolving submissions of 24hr and 5 day reports as per the expectations of the NDIS Quality & Safeguards Commission.
  • Support WHS Manager on current and future projects regarding the enhancement and utilisation of RiskMan system.
  • Establish and maintain effective relationships with a variety of internal and external stakeholders with the aim of creating awareness, completing key deliverables that improve WHS, Quality management and customer safeguarding.

About you

The successful applicant will possess:

  • Relevant experience, skills and knowledge in WHS and incident management.
  • A Certificate IV or higher in Work Health and Safety
  • Strong administration and coordination skills including; advanced knowledge of MS Office suite of programs, including Excel and Word.
  • Demonstrated experience in ensuring compliance with legislation and standards.
  • Well-developed capacity to manage the competing demands of a busy environment, work to deadlines and maintain attention to detail.
  • The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and demonstrated experience and ability in supporting stakeholder relationships and building rapport.
  • A positive attitude towards people with disabilities and the willingness to work within Multicap’s Values and Code of Conduct in order to meet our Clients’ needs. 

Mandatory requirement

Please note that the successful applicant will be required to hold or be willing to obtain a current QLD Driver’s Licence, Positive Notice Card from Disability Services (Yellow Card), Working with Children Check (Blue card) and in some circumstances National Criminal History check. You must also have NDIS Worker Orientation certificate completed and please login to https://training.ndiscommission.gov.au/ if you haven't obtained the certificate already.

Salary sacrifice + Meal entertainment

Attractive Salary packaging including $15,900 packaging limit per FBT year (1 April- 31 March) and $2,550 per year for meals and entertainment expenses.
