About the role

This role will see you create impact and positive change for people living with a disability. MS Queensland is rolling out an innovate supported living model which will see service expansion across the South East Queensland region – this role will lead the launch of our new Robina site - ensuring this new site is operating to the best of its capability, delivering best practice person centred care and support through a period of adaptation and growth within the industry.

This role will be responsible for:

  • Leading the day to day operations of the accommodation facility.
  • Leading, coaching and developing an on-site team of and Support Workers.
  • Understanding and managing individual support packages, including funding and service standards.
  • Driving a culture of continuous improvement to embed best practice service delivery and pilot the team through the establishment of this exciting project.

Permanent full-time role based out of Robina, Gold Coast.

About YOU

To make a difference in this role you will bring a passion for improving the lives of others; coupled with the following skills and experience:  

  • A confident leader with experience managing a disability support team and/or care facility
  • Exceptional communication through a lens of empathy and respect, coupled with a natural ability to build rapport and maintain relationships
  • Sound understanding of contemporary disability support practices and standards (NDIS)
  • A relevant bachelor’s degree (i.e. disability, community services) or equivalent working experience in the disability services industry
