  • Pay rate: Level 1 (Nurses Award 2020)
  • Full-time role
  • Location: Midland Clinic

Main responsibilities of the role

  • Provide empathetic, safe and high-quality nursing care in a perioperative environment
  • Assist in Emergency Care throughout the clinic
  • Apply Universal Infection Control principles
  • Safe Medication Administration
  • Provide Clinical Risk Assessment
  • Conduct theatre work with some training provided
  • Liaise with other members of the multidisciplinary healthcare team
  • Support our Quality & Safety program by participating in all clinical quality initiatives and projects

What we look for in a candidate

  • Nurse with AHPRA registration
  • Acute medical surgical experience
  • Theatre experience especially with STOPs and MTOPs is highly regarded
  • A Fiercely Pro-choice advocate who is passionate about de-stigmatising abortion, sexual and reproductive health
  • Refined assessment skills
  • Able to work across the clinic theatre, PACU
  • Active and reflective listening skills with an understanding of how to provide empathetic care and provide patient centred care advocate
  • Knowledge of National Accreditation Standards and ACORN standards
  • Ability to manage budgets and staffing requirements
