Program Support Officer, Commissioning

The Program Support Officer will play a key role in providing commissioning and contract management support within our Youth Mental Health team, and across other teams as required.

This support involves but is not limited to:

  • Undertaking research and analysis to support activity
  • Supporting best practice project/program methodology to ensure timely achievement of deliverables and performance targets, best-practice risk and issues management
  • Providing high quality written reports and presentations to teams as requested

What will you need to be successful in this role?

  • Strong problem-solving skills, including identification and implementation of workable solutions to problems
  • Strong communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Well-developed administrative skills and capabilities
  • Tertiary qualification in social science, education or health-related studies
  • Wanting to play a part in improving health outcomes for people in the North Western Melbourne community

We are North Western Melbourne Primary Health Network (NWMPHN), Victoria's largest independent, locally governed and run, not-for-profit PHN, dedicated to improving primary health care in our community.

PHNs have been established with the key objectives of increasing the efficiency and effectiveness of medical services for patients, particularly those at risk of poor health outcomes; and improving coordination of care to ensure patients receive the right care in the right place, at the right time.
