CEO - Asia Philanthropy Circle - Singapore

MoveMeOn

The Asia Philanthropy Circle Ltd (APC) was launched in 2015 as a membership-based platform for exchange and collaboration among philanthropists in Asia. APC supports leading philanthropists to accelerate private action for public good by addressing systemic challenges through collaborative philanthropy. APC offers its members a safe space to inspire one another, learn from best practices from all around the world, and to explore synergies and joint projects to grow social impact. It is a registered charity headquartered in Singapore.

APC is now embarking on an exciting transition. After five successful years, its founding CEO is stepping down and APC seeks a new CEO to usher the organisation into a new phase of growth. It currently has 45 members representing some of the largest business families in the region, and more than 10 on-going collaborative projects and funds. This is an opportunity for a passionate leader to step forward to accelerate membership growth, increase the momentum of collaborative activities, and build the philanthropic ecosystem in Asia.

As a brief introduction, APC’s activities include:

  • Experiential Donor Learning & Exchange, like country roundtables, expert workshops, member interest groups, learning journeys, project meetings, and annual meetings.
  • Pooled Philanthropic Funds, like the 1000 Days Funds in Indonesia. Pooled funds enable APC members to leverage philanthropic resources, networks and their collective intelligence to address the region’s most critical needs.
  • Philanthropic Ecosystem Development, like dialogues with government and non-profit leaders, and research and advocacy to promote informed giving, a more enlightened regulatory landscape and a supportive philanthropic infrastructure.
  • APC Catalysed Member Projects. APC connects members with common interests and helps them to research, develop and scope programmes aligned with their interest. Members will then co-create and co-fund projects.
