Movember is the leading charity changing the face of men’s health globally, tackling mental health and suicide prevention, prostate cancer, testicular cancer.

About the role

You will be responsible for supporting the implementation and delivery of Movember’s Mental Health and Suicide Prevention (MHSP) program investments in Australia. In other words, ensuring that Movember’s programs get into the right hands to support the community we serve.

You will have a specific focus on the interventions that Movember is scaling including face to face/online training (Young Men in Sport), digital mental health products (Mo Conversations; Family Man etc.) and other key initiatives in market. You will support the national delivery of programs, including liaising with key implementation delivery partners. It is expected that at least 60% of this role will be aligned to the implementation needs of Young Men (Ahead of the Game).

This is a permanent full-time opportunity with the opportunity to work flexibly, blending your work between home and our Richmond office.

You’ll have the opportunity to

  • Be a champion for Movember's MHSP programs in Australia, to ensure each achieves its goals, and the successful delivery of the project implementation plan(s), alongside the business owner/project manager.
  • Provide project management and support for program implementation in Australia.
  • Act as a key contact and point of co-ordination and accountability for programs delegated to this role in Australia.
  • Monitor the completion/progress of all stages of delegated programs within agreed timelines, managing and reporting on risks.
  • Ensure effective communication and collaboration between all stakeholders participating across the program(s)
  • Forge and maintain partnerships with internal stakeholders, health implementation partners, sporting code implementers, subject matter experts in mental health and suicide prevention to maximise reach and efficacy of programs.

For this role, you’ll need

  • Tertiary qualifications in Business, Health, or other related discipline.
  • Demonstrated successful project and program co-ordination.
  • Sound understanding of young men's health issues and the mental health sector.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with a high degree of self-motivation and initiative.
  • Experience of contract management and negotiation.
  • Experience of partnership development and management, including the ability to build trust with all levels of stakeholders.
  • Experienced and effective communicator with skills in presenting to diverse partners.
  • Flexible to national and global virtual working environments and relationships.
  • Ability to travel as necessary across including Globally as required.
  • Strong commercial acumen.
  • Computer literacy skills.

Bonus points for

  • Experience working within education and training sector, health related sector, and/or non-profit sector.
  • Understanding and experience of grant management.
  • Understanding and/or experience of organised sport setting(s).
  • Demonstrated experience in managing key challenges associated with managing programs and projects across large geographical areas.
