About the Job

Mosman Council Community Transport provides individual and group transport across Mosman Local Government Area.

We are currently recruiting for an experienced people person to join our Community Transport Team as a Community Transport Coordinator. Reporting to the Team Leader Community Care and located at our Mosman Council offices, this is a permanent position responsible for coordinating all transport needs and will also assist with driving as required.

The successful applicant will be responsible for scheduling trips, rostering and supervising drivers, supporting volunteers and looking after our fleet of 1 car and 2 minibuses.

Your professional approach, high level of customer service skills, excellent interpersonal and communication skills will ensure your success in this role!

To be successful for this position you must:

  • Have a genuine passion for helping people.
  • Be flexible, forward thinking, motivated, and have the ability to act autonomously.
  • Have previous experience in a similar role including experience with timetables, rostering and planning service routes.
  • Have strong time management and organisational skills and the ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Have exceptional communication and customer service skills.
  • Have a current drivers licence and be able to drive clients when required (minimum Class C).
  • Have the ability to work in a demanding environment, constantly being on the go.
  • Have a high level of computer skills and be proficient in use of electronic technology including smart phones, driver tablets, email, internet and operation of transport software i.e. Route Match or HMS
  • Be willing to obtain BOAS registration on behalf of Mosman Council.

This position is subject to a national criminal history record screening.
