As the new Head of Industry Engagement for Food Frontier you will have the opportunity to apply and grow your communication, relationship management, and problem solving skills by forging relationships with a variety of critical external food industry stakeholders.

This position is mission critical for Food Frontier. Your primary duties will be to support growth and innovation in plant-based meat and cultivated meat across Australia, New Zealand and beyond.

Responsibilities will be but not limited to:

  • Serve as an advisor to a spectrum of food industry stakeholders; develop meaningful relationships and engage the right contacts for the future
  • Support person to young plant-based and cellular agriculture companies
  • Investigate, understand and problem-solve industry issues and requirements across the supply chain
  • Run biannual industry meetings
  • Deliver recommendations to major retailers, large manufacturers, and investors
  • Network with prospective investors, founders, and service-providers, and leverage connections to facilitate stakeholder introductions
  • Manage multiple projects at the same time, from events through to industry research.

To get the gig you should be:

  • Innovative, big thinker, who is not afraid to knock on doors, pick up the phone and think outside the box
  • Be hungry to explore new opportunities with like-minded stakeholders and strengthen relationships within existing contacts
  • Solid understanding of supply chain, from ingredient sourcing, NPD, manufacturing, import/export, distribution and retail
  • Have an exposure to food and/or food technology, or have a natural curiosity in and understanding of the subject
  • A problem solver who can see the big picture, think laterally, identify gaps/roadblocks preventing sectoral growth, and come to the table with sustainable solutions
  • Passionate about sustainable food and/or emerging food innovations.

A proven background in FMCG and supply chain is imperative for your success in this position, alongside demonstrated experience in stakeholder relationship management.
