Due to an expansion in our program, this team teaching position has arisen. It will commence at the beginning of Term 2.

Moreland Community Child Care Centres is a community-based, not for profit early childhood service. There are three sites based in Brunswick, all with funded kindergartens. The organisation is innovative, regularly presenting at conferences and forums on a range of topics. All three centres have received an exceeding rating. Each site has an educational leader and kindergarten teacher. The strategic leader supports this team across the organisation. French is offered at each of the three sites.

The successful applicant will have the freedom to build on an exciting program, in collaboration with a second kindergarten teacher, and the support and encouragement of the strategic leader and other members of the leadership group. This is a unique opportunity to bring a range of skills and interests to an early childhood setting. All conditions will be in accordance with VECTEA.

The main tasks in collaboration:

• Developing and implementing an educational program that meets the learning outcomes of an exceeding service.
• Use a wide range of teaching methods (stories, media, indoor or outdoor games, drawing etc) to enhance each child’s abilities.
• Design and follow a full schedule of activities and routines that will also support our French bilingual program.

The four year old program operates within the long day care setting four days a week. The French program which began last year is already well supported by families and educators. That program is delivered on a Monday and Friday (7.5 hours each day) and a French assistant works for six hours each Friday. The French program is filtered through the mainstream program throughout the week. A three year old kindergarten is also delivered at each service.
