About us

Moreland Community Child Care Centres (MCCCC) is a not-for-profit, community-based early learning service with three early childhood centres in Brunswick. Together the centres provide a 130 place children’s service. All Centres have been assessed as "exceeding" under the National Quality Standards rating process, and deliver funded kindergarten programs. In 2021, North West Brunswick Kindergarten joined MCCCC, offering sessional 3 year old and 4 year old kindergarten, including an Italian program.

About the role

The role will be based at Mitchell Street, a 35 place, multi-age Centre.

The purpose of the educational leader is to ensure the pedagogy program is being delivered by all educators. The educational leader has an influential role in inspiring, motivating, affirming, challenging and extending the practice and pedagogy of educators.

The Educational Leader will:

  • Lead the pedagogical direction of the team in a strong and confident manner to ensure all educators and children receive a quality program
  • Support ongoing improvement
  • Mentor educators by promoting and demonstrating quality practice
  • Promote a culture of further learning and professional development

This is a fixed term, part time position (3 days per week) for 12 months.

About you

We are looking for an enthusiastic and experienced educator to join the team at Mitchell street.

You will have

  • A degree (or working towards) in early childhood
  • Strong knowledge of educational leadership
  • Knowledgeable about theories, pedagogy and the relevant learning frameworks
  • An understanding of adult learning styles and a willingness to coach and guide varying abilities.
