The Opportunity

An exciting opportunity is available to join a team of Childcare leaders managing Moonee Valley City Council early childhood services, in addition to leadership that delivers high quality programs that meet legislative requirements and that are in line with Council values.

You will be responsible for providing leadership, management and staff development to an interdisciplinary team in the provision of high quality, innovative play-based education programs for young children.

Skills & Experience

  • Degree and/or Diploma of Children's Services or equivalent, as recognised by the Department of Education and Early Childhood Development and in accordance with the Education and Care National Law Act 2010 & the Education and Care National Services Regulations 2011;
  • Relevant working experience in children's services and experience leading and facilitating a children’s service;
  • Demonstrated understanding of budgeting and financial skills, in addition to the ability to develop reports;
  • Proven experience and ability in leading, managing, engaging and developing a team of educators and co-educators; and.
  • Hold a current and valid: Working with Children Check, First Aid Level 2, CPR, Anaphylaxis Management and Emergency Asthma Management certificates
