The Institute for Safety, Compensation and Recovery Research (ISCRR) creates knowledge and influences thinking so that people can lead healthier lives. Established in 2009, it is a collaboration between Monash University and WorkSafe Victoria (WorkSafe). WorkSafe is the state's regulator of workplace health and safety and workers' compensation system, and ISCRR is a multi-disciplinary research and knowledge translation institute that has developed an innovative collaborative research model. ISCRR conducts and facilitates research that supports WorkSafe to drive improvements in health and social outcomes in occupational health and safety, rehabilitation and compensation practice.
We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Senior Research Officer to join us in this critical role where you will be responsible for leading the various research components related to helping drive improvements in health and social outcomes in occupational health and safety, rehabilitation and compensation practice. Reporting into the ISCRR Research Lead, your duties will include but not be limited to:
To be successfully considered for this role, you will have a demonstrated understanding and experience in conducting systematic, rapid and general literature reviews. You will have a PhD and have published first author papers. You will demonstrate exceptional verbal and written communication skills with the ability to communicate technical information with stakeholders in a clear and concise manner. You will possess naturally strong analytical skills coupled with high levels of attention to detail in undertaking reviews of research and literature. Experience in research skills such as grey literature searching, interviewing, mixed methods and evaluations is not essential, but would be advantageous.
