The Organisation

Climateworks Centre is an expert, independent adviser, acting as a bridge between research and action to accelerate the transition to net zero emissions for Australia, Southeast Asia and the Pacific. It also benefits from strong relationships with an international network of affiliated organisations that support effective policies, financing, and action for greenhouse gas emissions reductions. Climateworks was co-founded in 2009 by The Myer Foundation and Monash University and works within the Monash Sustainable Development Institute.

The Opportunity

We have two exciting positions for Development Coordinators at Climateworks Centre!

As the Development Coordinator, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining a portfolio of major gift prospects and in securing gifts, with a focus of the role on Philanthropic Individuals, Trusts and Foundations. You will also be accountable for Implementation of a major gift plan, including activities related to: donor acquisition, identification and growth of prospect pool, donor stewardship, tracking and analysing moves management, grant requirements and gift solicitation.

We are looking for individuals who have previously demonstrated their ability to strategically build relationships between potential major philanthropic donors and fundraising goals and the ability to apply original thinking, expertise, and professional experience to develop new ideas and approaches.

If you have an understanding of the rules, laws and policies, which apply to philanthropic ventures in Australia or other countries and in the higher education sector, you are strongly encouraged to apply!

These roles are full-time positions; however, flexible working arrangements may be negotiated.
