  • Social Worker Grade 3
  • Based at Monash Medical Centre, Clayton
  • Part time permanent - 24 hours per week (Wednesday, Thursday and Friday)

The successful candidate will have a strong leadership skills in delivery of high quality services, and advanced clinical experience in sexual assault and family violence. The position is responsible for leading the Intake and After Hours Team at SECASA, in a job share capacity. SECASA is committed to trauma informed practice, working with frameworks of intersectionality, gender equality and a human rights based approach.

About SECASA

The South Eastern Centre Against Sexual Assault and Family Violence (SECASA) provides sexual assault and family violence therapeutic support services and advocacy across nine locations within south eastern metropolitan region of Melbourne. SECASA delivers a wide range of services including individual and group counselling, advocacy, crisis support, and community education prioritising the empowerment of victim survivors. About the Role:

  • Lead and support delivery of high quality clinical service by the Intake and Initial Assessment Team, including complex psychosocial and risk assessments with people who have experienced sexual assault and family violence
  • Triage clinical referrals and flexibly manage competing priorities, ensuring accessibility, quality and timely service response
  • Liaise and work collaboratively with a range of internal and external stakeholders, including SOCIT (Vic pol), The Orange Door, Child Protection and VIFM/VFPMS.
  • Operate independently and collaboratively, with a high degree of integrity and accountability, as a member of the SECASA leadership team to operationalise strategic commitments

About You:

  • Are you an experienced clinical leader of resilient and dedicated teams within a health or community service environment?
  • Are you passionate about delivery high quality counselling and advocacy for people who have experienced sexual assault and/or family violence?
  • Are you highly skilled in frameworks of complex trauma, intersectionality, gender equality and a human rights based approach?
  • Are you an excellent and collaborative communicator, committed to building internal and external relationships?
