Be part of a vital service within a vibrant organisation, supporting a committed clinical team. The position is responsible for leading the delivery of high-quality therapeutic interventions for people who have experienced sexual assault and family violence. SECASA uses frameworks of intersectionality, trauma focused interventions, gender equality and a human rights based approach.

The position is responsible for daily operations of the East Bentleigh team, coordinating clinical care to ensure excellence in service delivery, efficiency and effective care.

The Team Leader will have a strong emphasis on collaborative leadership, building and supporting a resilient team, and outstanding communication resulting in positive client outcomes.

About SECASA

The South Eastern Centre Against Sexual Assault and Family Violence (SECASA) provides sexual assault and family violence therapeutic support services and advocacy across nine locations within south eastern metropolitan region of Melbourne. SECASA delivers a wide range of services including individual and group counselling, advocacy, crisis support, and community education prioritising the empowerment of victim survivors.

The role:

  • Lead a team of Counsellor/Advocates, providing therapeutic interventions for children, young people and adults who have experienced sexual assault and/or family violence - including individual counselling, advocacy, and group work
  • Lead daily operations of SECASA team, including provision crisis support for people who have recently experienced sexual assault
  • Support and supervise clinical team members to conduct risk assessments, and work collaboratively with clients and key agencies to enhance safety and wellbeing
  • Develop and foster relationships with key partner agencies, including professional consults and education
