Why West 4 General Medicine at Dandenong Hospital
We are a 40 inpatient beds unit. Specialties relate to respiratory medicine, Wellness and Recovery care as well as cardiac and renal conditions. West 4 is one of two wards who originally developed the Ward Governance Structure. Ward Governance is a quality improvement initiative, set to focus on delivering our key objective to deliver “excellence in care.” Governance comprises of medical, pharmacy, allied health, and nursing leads, engaged in communicating collaboratively to identify any potential or actual risk to patient care in order to facilitate improved patient outcomes. This is achieved through multilevel collaboration and communication within the teams.
As an accomplished Registered Nurses (RN) you have proven acute Hospital experience in General Medicine and deliver a patient centred approach with an excellent bedside manner. Demonstrated current clinical experience in general medicine and palliative care are all highly sought. We encourage engagement in professional development activities including, but not limited to undertaking Post Graduate Certificates with application to Medical/Surgical Transition into Specialty Practice. On-site education and access to Clinical Educators and Clinical Coaches is available.
Full & Part Time ongoing roles available with flexibility to work a minimum of .6 EFT is sought, across a 24/7 rotating roster.
You are an experienced RN with previous experience in general medicine, acute hospital setting. You are a dedicated and compassionate nurse who is enthusiastic about further developing your clinical skills seek support and mentoring from those around you.
