About the Role

We are seeking a Senior Family Violence Specialist to work within the Mental Health Program. The role will provide specialist input into family violence issues across our bed based services and for our crisis response and community services. The role will work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary teams and provide leadership for the Mental Health Family Violence team. The primary tasks will include:

  • Providing high level clinical reasoning, expertise and guidance in delivering family violence secondary consultations and advice to clinicians and teams
  • Advising on systemic and organisational changes, including the implementation of the current family violence reforms resulting from the Royal Commission into family violence
  • Building workforce capacity and capability

About the Mental Health Program

The role will work within the Mental Health Program who provide a range of community, bed based and specialist services covering the Casey, Cardinia, Greater Dandenong, Kingston and Monash local government areas (a population of nearly one million people). Employing approximately 820 EFT, representing over 1000 staff.
